Description

Mesa Tactical is happy to announce a joint project with Beretta USA. Mesa Tactical’s Urbino stock has been selected for use on Beretta’s 1301 tactical shotgun. The Urbino shotgun stock has become an industry standard for tactical shotguns and is being developed at the request of Beretta. Specifically designed as a tactical stock, the Urbino has features that make it a definitive upgrade over standard butt stocks. Made from injection-molded glass-filled nylon, the Urbino tactical stock has a 12A 1/2 inch length of pull (LoP) for improved weapon control and use with body armor; optional field-adjustable cheek riser to provide improved cheek weld when used with optics; optional LimbsaverA(R) butt pad for greater shooting comfort, especially during long training or certification courses; shock-absorbing rubber grip sleeve to reduce shooter fatigue; and a variety of standard and proprietary sling mounting options. The Beretta 1301 shotgun is Beretta’s new gas operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for law-enforcement and home-defense. Engineered to be ultra-reliable, easy to use and safe, it has all the features that a modern tactical shotgun should offer, and more. And thanks to its compact size (barrel length: 18.5″), it is ideal for negotiating tight spaces as well as for being safely stored away when not needed. “Mesa Tactical couldn’t be happier to be selected by a company like Beretta.” Mitch Barrie, Founder and President of Mesa Tactical further commented “Both the shotgun and the stock are the best in their respective classes. It is an honor the Urbino stock was chosen by Beretta for their new 1301 tactical shotgun” “This is a great step forward in the development of the 1301 Tactical shotgun” said John Tamborino, Tactical Product Manager at Beretta USA. “We are proud to partner with Mesa Tactical to bring this newest evolution of the 1301 Tactical to market.” FEATURES Injection-molded in glass-filled nylon, the stock features a 12 A 1/2″ inch length of pull (LoP) Shock-absorbing rubber grip sleeve reduces shooter fatigue The field-adjustable cheek riser provides improved cheek weld when used with optics. Includes Benelli-style rear sling loops for 1 1/4 inch sling webbing Includes a QD style sling swivel that fits in a hole in the lower rear of the stock URBINO CHEEK RISER Urbino tactical stocks with cheek risers must use buttpads with cheek riser retaining “wings.” The Urbino tactical stock cheek riser concept is simple. The cheek riser rides on a pair of rails molded into the sides of the stock armature, and is secured in place by the snapin buttpad. There are five pairs of slots on the inside of the cheek riser offering a range of 1A 1/4 inches of vertical adjustment in five elevations, in addition to using the stock with no cheek riser at all. Because the cheek riser requires support rails on the side of the stock armature, cheek risers cannot be installed on Urbino tactical stocks that do not have these rails. So while an Urbino tactical stock with cheek riser rails can be used without the cheek riser, the opposite is not true: standard Urbino tactical stocks cannot accept cheek risers. The decision whether to support a cheek riser must be made upon initial purchase of the Urbino tactical stock.
