Description
Carbon steel knives are known to be rugged tough easy to sharpen and corrosion resistant. This 440 stainless steel blade comes in a satin finish with a drop point style and gut hook. Gut hooks are a special type of blade in which the spine has a sharpened semi-circle ground into it. A gut hook is more of a blade feature than it is an actual blade shape. They are mainly used for field dressing game but can be used for cutting rope or fishing line. The tang runs the full length of the handle with wooden mounts on each side. These mounts have been smoothed stained and sealed. Brass pins adhere the mounts to the tang. The grain beautifully pops on the handle and is contoured for comfort. Included with this beautiful knife is a thick leather sheath with belt loop.
