Captain Jay’s Blade Baits are some of the most effective baits for walleye fishing on Lake Erie. Individually built and hand painted, these blade baits create a vibration in the water to attract walleye to your area. The best way to fish blade baits is to snap jig them while you are drifting, keeping them vertical. Use a braided line with a barrel swivel and 18-inch fluorocarbon leader to ensure you feel the blade vibrating. The blade’s proven fishing method is to lower it to the bottom, snap it up and come down with a controlled fall.
