Elements of a fine Rogue Rod: Blank: We make our blanks in our Oregon factory. We use premium aerospace-grade graphite and resin. Rogue Rods? design philosophy is to work to perfection through steady refinement. We also know when to leave a fantastic rod alone. We leave our blanks in their natural graphite color. Painting graphite rods can compromise their action. Handles: Portuguese cork is the best material for fishing rod handles. It feels better in the summer and winter. We have looked at all the man-made materials (graphite and foam) and nature still wins. Rogue Rods all feature premium cork grips. Guides: We use top quality Batson guides carefully placed with the correct number to optimize performance. Wraps: We use black thread with gold trim with two coats of Flex Coat UV proof epoxy. Badge: We carefully place our gold Rogue Rod decal that states our rod line rating and lure weight.
