The ATA Show is Going Public in 2026

  Post By
For decades, the ATA Show has been known as the business event for the archery and bowhunting industry. Each January, manufacturers, dealers, distributors and media gathered behind closed doors to write orders, debut new gear and set the tone for the year ahead.

But in 2026, the Archery Trade Association is taking a major step forward by expanding the show beyond its traditional trade-only roots and opening the door to the broader archery and bowhunting community.

The result is a reimagined ATA Show Week — one that blends business, competition and consumer engagement into the largest archery-focused event of the year.

A New Look for ATA Show Week

The 2026 ATA Show will take place January 7–11, 2026, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. What’s changing isn’t just the calendar — it’s the structure and purpose of the event itself.

At its core, the ATA Trade Show remains intact. January 7–8 will still be dedicated to the traditional business-to-business show that the industry depends on.

These two days are reserved for ATA members and qualified buyers, including pro shop owners, distributors, manufacturers, sales reps and media. This is when new bows, accessories and innovations are officially unveiled, orders are written, and partnerships are built face-to-face.

What’s new is what happens after the trade show doors close.

Beginning January 9, the event shifts gears and opens up to the public with the debut of the Archery & Bowhunting Supershow, marking the first time in ATA history that consumers will have access to a large-scale, ATA-hosted show floor experience.

The New Bowhunters and Consumer Show

The Archery & Bowhunting Supershow, running January 9–10, is a ticketed, public-facing event designed specifically for bowhunters, target archers, families and outdoor enthusiasts. While the trade show focuses on buying and business, the Supershow focuses on experience, education and excitement.

Attendees will be able to walk the show floor, see the latest bows and gear up close, talk directly with manufacturers and brand reps, and take part in hands-on demonstrations and shooting opportunities. Educational seminars, special guests and industry personalities will also be part of the experience, giving everyday archers and hunters unprecedented access to the people and products that shape the sport.

For years, hunters have followed ATA Show news from a distance, relying on media coverage and product announcements. In 2026, they’ll finally be able to see it for themselves.

Competition Joins the Spotlight

Adding even more energy to ATA Show Week is the inclusion of major archery competitions. Running alongside the Supershow is the Rushmore Rumble, a national indoor archery tournament that will draw competitive archers from across the country. This event adds a live, high-level competitive element to the week and helps bridge the gap between the hunting and target archery worlds.

The S3DA Indoor Open will also take place during the public portion of the show, highlighting youth archery and reinforcing the ATA’s emphasis on growing the next generation of archers and bowhunters.

By combining industry business, consumer access and national competition in one venue, ATA is positioning the event as more than a trade show — it’s becoming a true archery destination.

What This Means for the Industry

For manufacturers and retailers, the changes offer expanded opportunity without sacrificing what has always made ATA valuable. Brands still get a focused, buyers-only environment early in the week to launch products and secure orders. Then, just days later, those same brands can engage directly with consumers, build excitement, gather feedback and strengthen loyalty.

Retailers benefit as well. The trade days remain streamlined and efficient, while the public show creates added momentum and demand that can carry straight into spring and summer sales.

For the ATA, this evolution reflects a broader understanding of where the archery industry is headed. Participation, visibility and connection matter more than ever, and opening the doors to the public helps strengthen the relationship between the industry and the people who support it.

A New Era for the ATA Show

The 2026 ATA Show represents the most significant shift in the event’s history. What was once a closed-door business meeting is becoming a multi-day celebration of archery and bowhunting — one that still serves buyers and businesses, but now welcomes the broader community as well.

Whether you’re a pro shop owner writing orders, a brand launching new gear, a competitive archer chasing a podium, or a bowhunter who simply loves the sport, ATA Show Week 2026 offers something new.

It’s still the industry’s most important business event — but now, it’s also an event the entire archery world can be part of.
