It ships as a genuinely complete unit, BCG and charging handle already installed, so a compatible lower is close to the only thing left before it’s ready to run. A quick compliance note before anything else: this configuration is not pinned and welded like Geissele’s 14.5″ and 16″ complete uppers. The HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device is threaded on rather than permanently affixed, which means mating this Geissele 10.3 upper to a rifle-configured lower puts the resulting firearm under NFA short-barreled rifle rules. Worth knowing before you build. The barrel itself is 10.3″, cold hammer forged and chrome lined with a 1:7 twist, machined and finished at Geissele’s own facility rather than sourced out.
