The Beretta(R) A400 Xtreme(TM) Plus Semi-Auto Shotgun, with its rugged synthetic stock, is an all-around, go-to semi-auto shotgun that’s well suited for nearly any type of hunting. The A400 Extreme Plus shoots 2-3/4″, 3″, and 3-1/2″ shells interchangeably without having to make adjustments. To hold up to long days of pounding heavy waterfowl loads, the A400 Xtreme Plus features advanced recoil reduction systems, such as Kick-Off Mega, Kick-Off3, and Soft-Comb stock, which reduce felt recoil by as much as 70%. The barrel is made of Steelium Plus steel with an extended forcing cone for obtaining consistently tight and uniform shot patterns. The 7x7mm stepped rib has a wider plane, and an integral steel midbead and a fiber-optic front bead. The charging handle and bolt release are oversized to facilitate operation with cold, gloved hands; and an expanded and beveled loading port reduces thumb bite, and also facilitates operation with gloved hands. The receiver is drilled and tapped to attach a Picatinny rail (rail not included). The A400 action features a rotating bolt, and a self-cleaning piston to ensure the shotgun operates in all conditions and is low in maintenance. Under field conditions, the A400 easily disassembles with no tools in a matter of seconds. The cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard, where the hunter can find it instantaneously, and is reversible for right- and left-hand shooters.
