Domain Outdoor 3-Way Grainz Food Plot Mix

3-Way Grainz offers special varieties of winter rye, winter wheat, and oats designed to offer a fast-growing and cold-tolerant food source for deer and turkey through the fall and winter. With minimal equipment required, these hardy grains will offer a weather-tolerant food source to help attract and feed deer on your property. Planting hardy grains for deer on your property provides a nutritious food source to support their nutritional needs and helps attract and sustain a healthy deer population on your property. 3-way grainz offers highly palatable and adaptable grains that will grow incredibly fast and establish quickly, making them the perfect option to plant on their own or be mixed with domain’s brassica mixes to “sweeten up” a food plot or used as a “nurse crop” alongside perennials like clover and chicory. 3-way grainz can be planted from north to south and everywhere in between to help maximize the forage production on your property this season! 3-way grainz offers flexibility in when you plant it, but our preference with grains is to plant them as late as you can and hunt them early. This 3-way mix should offer quick green up to hunt right away, but also provide green forage late into season. The winter rye and winter wheat is likely to survive winter and provide early spring green up as well. 1 BAG (40 lbs.) = 1/2 ACRE Plant Varieties: Winter Rye, Winter Wheat, Oats Planting Guide: Seed Type: Annual Location: Full or partial sun, hunt plot, backwoods plot PH Range: 5.8 – 7.0 elbow grease can help raise ph if needed Soil Type: Well-drained, dark/rich, sandy, rocky, clay Tilling: Minimal required, plow, disk or hand rake Fertilizer: Use recommendation from soil test – or a combined 2-3 gallons of crank’d and freight train per acre Seed Depth: 1/4″ or less Seed Rate: 80 lbs. / acre Planting Dates: North: Sept-Oct Central: Sept-Oct South: Oct-Nov
