When El Chete was released in 2017 it took off immediately becoming a top selling model for TOPS. Something about the functionality of the blade along with its aesthetics just struck a chord with people in the knife community. The Mini version originally became a thought after making some wooden Christmas ornaments that were shrunken versions of full-sized blades. A few of those ornaments looked like they would make awesome knives. So TOPS decided to get some minis made. Coming in at 8 and 3/4 inches overall the El Chete Mini is only mini compared to the original. From tip to handle it s a 5-and-a-half-inch blade with the same characteristic blade shape that made the original so popular. It has the same finish as the full-sized version and has green canvas Micarta handles.
