While this is it’s first time being available in the US it has been a very popular bait for the Japanese Yamamoto lineup for years. The Yamatanuki is credited as the bait that started a trend of “heavy” soft plastic lures that have become popular in the US in recent years with offerings from Japanese manufacturers. While the 4.25 Nuki is longer than the original 3.5 incher it maintains the same diameter. This allows the lure to have a larger profile but not be so thick that it inhibits the hookup ratio or action. Speaking of action this longer Nuki has even more of a shimmy on the fall than the original! It drives fish flat crazy.
