Yakima DoubleHaul is a customizable rooftop carrier for anglers transporting fully strung-up fly rods to rivers lakes and remote fishing areas. Its 6 ft. or 11 ft. configuration keeps assembled gear outside the vehicle helping preserve interior space and reduce breakdown time between outings. Four plastic-lined aluminum tubes store fully strung-up fly rods separately to help limit contact and abrasion. Upper slots fit most 12-weight reels and accommodate up to 2 spey rods while lower slots fit most 10-weight reels. The reel box also holds common fighting butts of single-handed rods. Felt padding cushions each reel and side placement helps reduce wear on guides and eyelets. The 131 in. x 15 in. x 9 in. unit weighs 46.6 lb. and has a black finish. Included mounting hardware fits Yakima crossbars and most other roof racks. SKS locks secure equipment inside and attach the DoubleHaul to the roof rack. For T-slot crossbars the optional SmarT-Slot Kit 3 provides an alternative attachment method and is sold separately.
