The Penn Ally II Bent Butt Conventional Boat Rod is a 6-foot heavy-power rod rated for loads up to 80 pounds built specifically for offshore saltwater fishing. It is designed to handle hard-fighting species in demanding conditions. The rod is constructed around a tubular E-glass blank with a solid glass tip providing the structural strength needed to withstand heavy strain and extended fights. The guide system includes Seaguide stainless steel guides with zirconium inserts complemented by PacBay machined aluminum roller guides positioned at high-stress points to reduce line friction and wear. The reel seat is a non-corrosive aluminum Seaguide HBS unit that holds the reel securely under extreme loads. Aluminum gimbals and a PacBay aluminum butt section are included to improve leverage and stability when the rod is used in a fighting belt or rod holder.
