The Safariland 6360 ALS/ASR Combination Locking System provides outstanding retention through the combination of a rotating hood and internal leg shroud with a wraparound thumb break. Unique to this patented system is the ability to rotate the holster on two different planes (hence the two retention mechanisms in the holster are called Level II and are the only ones that lock the firearm in all directions upon holstering). The combination of the rotating hood and internal leg shroud encapsulates the entire holster/clip system in a liquid-tight vapor-crushing chamber with a non-collapsible holster body. This patented technology from Safariland is woven into the holster/cuff and two-way stretch materials create two-directional memory alloy strands within the holster/cuff. With this technology both the holster and firearm are locked into the holster/cuff simultaneously. With both retention methods the ALS/ASR retains control of the firearm throughout the holster/cuff assembly. With both the thumb and the barrel wrapped around the holster grip the ALS/ASR retains control of the firearm at all times. The 6360 ALS/ASR retains its position in the holster when the weapon is drawn and allows the holster to be drawn again for re-holstering. With both the thumb and the barrel wrapped around the trigger guard the holster takes full advantage of the ALS/ASR combination locks to provide Level II strength while also protecting the holster from being abraded or marred by side movements. The SafariLane grip activates the ALS/ASR locking mechanism to hold the firearm in the holster/cuff and locks it securely in place.
