The straight-pull action cuts the number of movements in half: simply pull the bolt rearward to extract the spent case and push it forward to load the next. This allows you to get off the same number of shots in a much shorter amount of time without sacrificing any of the accuracy potential of the bolt action. The Impulse Driven Hunter pairs this action with a rigid AccuFit AccuStock, which secures the action 3-dimensionally along its entire length. The AccuFit stock provides length-of-pull and cheek-height adjustments using only simple tools. The rifle also utilizes Savage’s proven user-adjustable AccuTrigger, delivering a crisp break with no creep along with safe operation. The AccuTrigger is adjustable from 1.54 lbs., and will not operate without depressing the trigger blade, making it incredibly safe from accidental discharge.
